Tears, Fists and Lips Amid the Pain of Iraq

This army officer was awarded the New York Times Quotation of the Issue today in talking about coping with the pain of losing your comrades in Iraq:

"Crying doesn’t make me any less of a man. To not show emotion, you’re an idiot, or you’re living a pipe dream. If someone were to tell me not to show emotion, I’d hit them in the lip."
