In 2001 Woods held all four major titles concurrently, completing what is called the Tiger Slam. Between August 1996, when he turned pro, and June 2007, when Sam was born, he won 57 titles, including 12 majors. In 1996 and in 2000, he was named Sportsman of the Year by Sports Illustrated.“But life is so much better now,” Woods said, the conviction in his voice leaving the clear impression that it is not even close.
